On Saturday, November 22, 2008, we will once again be participating in the semi-annual Chic Baby Boutique at Java Mama Cafe. We'll be bringing our fabulous hooded towels, as well as our newest burrrp cloth sets. Come get a head start on your holiday shopping. The boutique will be open from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and is located at 8250 La Mesa Blvd # 101 in La Mesa, California.
The Java Mama Cafe is an innovative coffee shop with a supervised play area stocked with fun for all ages. A coffee bar overlooks the play area and the child-friendly staff serve everything from lattes to sandwiches. The Chic Baby Boutique is an event where moms, dads and the like can relax and shop for baby / child items while their kids play.

Cheekybean Announces Bebe King Burrrp Cloth Set
On November 3, we came out with a new burp cloth collection, called Bebe King. As a mother of a toddler girl, I'm drawn to pinks and... well... pinks! However, most of my friends have boys and complain that it is really difficult to find cute boy stuff. So Cheekybean is doing our small part to make this world just a wee bit sassier for mommies of boys.

Cheekybean Announces Hooded Towels for Tots
On July 18, 2008, we came out with our newly designed collection, hooded towels for tots. Our towels are super absorbent and come in fun colors and sassy prints, such as the "Rock Me Baby" line, which features tiny skulls and crossbones.
Towels are such a necessity, but also make such a great gift that we roll them up and tie them with cute ribbon so they arrive at your (or your recipient's) door gift-ready.
I remember being given a unique, hand-made towel at my baby shower and it was a good deal larger than the hooded towels seen in all the usual stores. I saved it until my daughter's first birthday and brought it out as a fun, brand new towel just when all her other towels were getting small and worn out. I thought other people might like this idea so we designed the towels 50" x 30" so that they would still fit toddlers and even older kiddos.

On May 31, 2008, Cheekybean (www.lovecheekybean.com) was among the creative group of businesses displaying and selling unique, handmade baby products at the semi-annual Chic Baby Boutique at Java Mama Cafe. Cheekybean Introduces New "Mama & Me" Blanket
On March 20, 2008, we launched our newest product, the lush Mama & Me Blanket. The Mama & Me blanket totes two unique features: a magical softness capable of comforting Baby and a size that allows Mommy and Baby to both snuggle under.
When I gave birth to my daughter, I was given a large, fluffy blanket as a gift. Amongst our family, this blanket became known as the "magic blanket." For months, the blanket was never left behind as it was often the only cure for her tears. Wrapped up in the blanket, she would finally drift off to sleep in my arms. I searched high and low to find a spare "magic blanket," but the availability was limited to blankets barely large enough to swaddle an infant - and adult blankets with not nearly the soft, fluffy baby goodness I desired.
The Mama & Me Blanket is nearly 4' x 5', allowing both Mommy and Baby to cuddle under it. New mommies spend so much time feeding and snuggling with their babies, and often in the middle of the night, that there is no better gift to a friend or to yourself than a blanket that keeps Mommy warm too.

Cheekybean Expands Product Line
We added to our spunky product line on January 28, 2008 with a variety of sweet and sassy barrettes for babies and little girls.
It' always proven difficult to find that unique baby gift but these are sure to be a hit for baby showers and birthday presents, if you can resist the temptation to keep them for yourself, that is.
